The Master of Engineering Administration (MEA)

Notice to International Students

To qualify for admission to the Master of Engineering Administration program, the applicant must hold a bachelors degree from an accredited institution with an overall grade average of B or better (3.0 on a 4.0 point scale). The undergraduate degree may be in any field of engineeringor science, but all applicants must have at least twelve semester hours of mathematics including calculus and linear algebra plus three semester hours of statistics. An applicant whose undergraduate experience did not include sufficient math, statistics and industrial engineering course work may be required to take preadmission prerequisites prior to taking any courses to satisfy MEA program requirements.

The Graduate Record Exam (standard, not special test) is required. Applicants with a grade point average below 3.0 may be considered for admission if each score on the GRE exceeds the 60-percentile level and the capability for successful academic performance at the graduate level has otherwise been clearly demonstrated.

Two letters of recommendation from individuals who can attest to the applicant's potential graduate level academic performance are required. Applicants are encouraged to also include a personal letter containing any additional information they may wish to provide relative to academic qualifications, motivation for pursuing this degree etc.

Upon acceptance, every applicant should promptly make an appointment to meet with his/her program advisor.

 

Systems Engineering
To qualify for admission to the Systems Engineering program the applicant must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with an overall grade average of B or better (3.0 on a 4.0 point scale). The undergraduate degree may be in any field of science or engineering. Letters of recommendation and verbal, quantitative, and analytical math sections of the GRE are also required of all applicants to the master's program.  Upon acceptance, every applicant should make an appointment to met with his/her program advisor and begin developing a personal plan of study.
